Formed at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 2017, the Celia Quartet has performed in numerous venues around Italy, Germany and the UK, including St Martin-in-the-Fields and the Milton Court Concert Hall in London.
In 2018 the quartet was invited to play at a Wigmore Hall Study Group session, exploring Haydn’s quartets. Last year they performed in occasion of the opening concerts of the 15th North Norfolk Music Festival and collaborated with pianist Stefania Cafaro at the “Note Di Un Sogno – Clara e Robert Schumann” Festival in Città della Pieve.
The quartet has been mentored by Quartetto di Cremona, Simon Rowland-Jones, Ursula Smith, Jacqueline Ross and Matthew Jones and have participated in masterclasses with members of the Takács Quartet, Danish Quartet, Castalian String Quartet and Goldner String Quartet.
In 2019 the quartet has also been selected to join “Le Dimore del Quartetto” network and have been admitted into the Walter Stauffer Academy in Cremona.
